The substrate must be clean, compact, solid, free from oils, traces of vegetation, dust and crumbly or loose parts. Any poorly adhering paint, cement laitance and any pollutants must be removed. The product adheres without the need for primers and/or activators most building materials. On unknown substrates it is recommended to carry out a preliminary adhesion test. In order to improve adhesion, smooth substrates can be roughened.

When Sika Boom®-584 is used for bonding vertical building elements, they must be temporarily supported until the product has developed sufficient resistance to support them. Shake the canister at least 20 times before use. Repeat the operation after long interruptions. Remove te cap and screw the cylinder firmly onto the thread of the SikaBoom Dispenser gun. The quantity of extruded foam is regulated by the pressure exerted on the trigger of the gun and based on the appropriate flow adjustment screw. Distribute the foam while keeping the can upside down. Apply two curbs (on the long sides of the tiles) with a thickness of approximately 3 cm in Ø, on the previously slightly wetted support and position the roof tile/pantiles within 3-5 minutes. Press lightly and position the roof tiles/pantiles. Do not move and reglue the tiles after the foam has begun to harden. If it is necessary to remove and reglue items, reapply the foam as previously described.The times indicated above are
referred to 23°C/50% r.h. These times shorten as the temperature/humidity increases, and they lengthen as the temperature/humidity drops. Before removing the cylinder from the gun, extrude the remaining contents into a suitable container for disposal. Removing a cylinder that is not completely empty can cause product spills. Clean the gun with Sika Boom®-108 Foam Cleaner immediately after use. Otherwise it could damage to the dispensing nozzle.

Immediately remove all stains or foam residues from the SikaBoom Dispenser gun until fresh using SikaBoom®-108 Foam Cleaner. Cured foam can only be removede mechanically.
